Earlier this week, Charlotte, 36, revealed to The Jattvibe that she had fallen pregnant with her third child earlier this year but had heartbreakingly lost the baby.
She then further detailed the devastating loss during an emotional live TV interview earlier today.
And now, Charlotte has opened up to fans about the miscarriage and what happened, in the hopes of providing support to others going through the same thing.
Charlotte began her Instagram post by explaining that she and Jake weren’t trying for a third child, despite it being something they had spoken about.

Upon taking the positive pregnancy test, which she recalls happened solo during a work trip, Charlotte said: “I recorded my instant reactions, it was pure shock… we were going to have out 3rd baby!!!
“Something we always talked about but never really knew if we would… out of fear of being able to manage! But suddenly now I was faced with it every fear and reservation completely melted away!
“It’s all gunna be fine! I told myself, another baby to love with all our hearts growing our family the most special thing in my life! I woke up the next day SO EXCITED to tell Jake!!”(sic).
The star even recalled how she had filmed Jake’s reaction to the baby news, in clips which are too devastating to share or watch back.
However, concern then began as Charlotte recalled: “I carried on to take tests but worried slightly as they showed a drop in weeks”.
She continued that the six-week scan was where more alarm bells rang, despite trying to remain positive.
Charlotte wrote: “We went for our 6 week scan and the nurse was very silent nothing like my experience with the girls! The nurses told me I may be a little early and have my dates wrong!
“They assured me when I came back in 2 weeks everything would most likely be fine. Jake was being really positive and the driving force in keeping our hopes up, he was so so so so excited at the thought of our family growing. He’s a brilliant dad.”

Finding support after a miscarriage
MISCARRIAGE is the loss of a pregnancy during the first 23 weeks.
It happens more than you might think. According to the NHS, around one in eight known pregnancies ends in a loss.
Figures from the charity Tommy’s show half of adults in the UK say that they, or someone they know, has experienced pregnancy or baby loss.
Symptoms can include vaginal bleeding and cramping and pain in your lower tummy, but some women don’t have any symptoms at all and will only find out they’ve had a miscarriage during a routine pregnancy scan.
The majority cannot be prevented and a cause is usually not known. But there are some things you can do to reduce the risk.
These include avoiding smoking, drinking alcohol and using drugs while pregnant, being a healthy weight, eating a balanced diet, and reducing your chances of infection.
If doctors suspect you have had a miscarriage, you will usually be referred to a hospital for an ultrasound. If confirmed, there are several options.
Often the pregnancy tissue will pass out naturally in one to two weeks, but sometimes medicine or surgery is needed.
There are also several potential risks, including bleeding, perforation and sepsis.
The process can be emotionally and physically draining, but there is support available.
You can contact The Miscarriage Association, Tommy’s and Sands for more information. The NHS also offers counselling services.
Admitting there was “a lot of crying” due to worry in between this scan and the next, Charlotte was then told at the next appointment that she had lost the baby.
“I went to London for my next scan where it was confirmed I had had a silent miscarriage… Jake and I were so devastated,” she penned over a picture of herself in a hospital bed.
“Truly a pain and devastation that hurt so much. I was booked in to have an operation to empty the uterus. We spent the journey home crying and holding each other so tight.”
A silent miscarriage is when no symptoms are present, such as bleeding or pain.
Charlotte then had to wait for the operation, which involves removing the pregnancy tissue from the uterus.
After a worrying time in between, she explained that Jake was by her side for the procedure.
“I woke up with Jake by my side! With some bad cramping pains and bleeding! I spent a few more hours in hospital until I recovered and then we went home.
“A part of me was relieved this was all over… sad but very relieved I didn’t have to worry anymore”.
Charlotte signed off that the experience, albeit sad, has made her feel even more lucky to have daughters Alba and Pixi.
She also confirmed: “It’s left me knowing we 100% want to grow our family and hopefully we will be lucky enough to have a successful pregnancy again”.
Charlotte then shared links to support charities for others going through baby loss and thanked fans for their support in her caption.
She wrote: “THANK YOU! Thankyou for the support! Thankyou for sharing your stories and giving me so much hope! Just THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart”.
A number of fans and fellow celebrities took to the comment section of the post to share their support.
MAFS star Peggy Rose spoke out about her own baby loss earlier this year, while a myriad of Charlotte’s followers also commented their own journeys.
Fellow Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan and Love Island’s Jess Harding were also amongst the many sending Charlotte love.
