Ariel, who played middle child Alex on the long-running ABC series, has confirmed that she is now roommates with Nolan, who played her younger brother Luke.
The pals are living together in Los Angeles, she told PEOPLE.
“It’s funny because I spend more time out here now and I rent a house with Nolan,” said Ariel.
She explained: “People ask me about a Modern Family reboot, but Nolan and I are real roommates now.

“So it’s like we’re having our own little Modern Family reboot, but it’s just the two of us living together. So I see him every day.”
The living update comes after Ariel is thought to have split from her boyfriend of five years Luke Benward.
Modern Family ran for an impressive 11 seasons from 2009 until 2020.
Ariel rose to fame from the popular series and appeared in every season, as did Nolan.
The pair are both continuing to forge acting careers in Los Angeles, with Nolan making a cameo in popular series Grey’s Anatomy back in 2022.
While Ariel is a voice actor for cartoons such as Phineas and Ferb and Sofia The First.
She began her career in acting back in 2003.
Last year, Ariel opened up about suffering “trauma” of being a young actress in Hollywood, after being targeted by “male predators” at just 12 years old.
She told the DailyMail.com: “I am familiar with male predators because I worked in Hollywood at a young age. I started at age four.
“I don’t wanna say too much about it, but by the time I was on a laptop and cell phone, I was getting inappropriate messages from older men, and it caused trauma.”
“The experiences I had in person and online as a child have affected me so deeply that I’ve had to go to therapy for it. The movie and TV industry is a dark place.”
She now combats this by working with the organisation SOSA (Safe From Online Sex Abuse).
