DRIVERS are battling rush-hour chaos and five miles of queues after a crash on a major motorway.
Traffic was stopped on the M6 following a crash this morning following a collision between junctions 19 at Knutsford and 18 at Middlewich, in Cheshire.

Queues on the M6 southbound are currently stretching back to junction 20 at the M56 Lymm Interchange.
National Highways says drivers are facing 40-minute queues.
Motorists have been backed up in queues stretching on for five miles.
All vehicles were stopped for around 10 minutes following the crash.

Diversions are also currently in place as traffic builds up on surrounding routes with rush-hour underway.
National Highways urged motorists to plan ahead with their journeys.
Vehicles are moving again, but one lane remains closed and there are “long delays”, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix.
Motorists are also facing delays on the A556 southbound, where motorists from Greater Manchester join the M6 at junction 19.
