A STRICTLY star has hinted they’re quitting showbiz after 15 years saying ‘the past year has changed me a lot’.

The stand up comedian has gone on to host her own popular travel series on Channel 5 but despite her success, she has now hinted she might be hanging up her mic and turning off the camera in the not so distant future.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Susan shared a snap in one of her Strictly gowns and wrote: “This is me, in 2018 just before the Strictly tour. Quite glam.
“I met a woman yesterday who remarked that she didn’t recognise me and wouldn’t have known it was me until I spoke (distinctive voice it turns out).
“She wasn’t being rude by the way, I understand why she was surprised. People often say that when they meet me.

“I’m shorter in real life than they expect, I look a bit different now having lost four stone, and I’m quieter than they think I’ll be.”
Susan added that she’s “actually quite shy” in real life and not as confident as she comes across on television.
She continued: “The past year has changed me a lot, grief, hormones and other issues have taken a bit of a toll but also emboldened me.
“I think it’s why I’m looking forward to getting back on tour. I don’t think I’ll continue in show business once it’s over (not sure I’m cut out for it anymore) but that’s for the future and right now I’m loving telling unexpected stories about who I really am.
“May as well go out with a bang that’s my theory. I do really like this photo though. But don’t expect me to look like this on tour, the shoes were very painful after a while. Very painful indeed.”
She concluded: “Have a smashing day whatever you’re up to xx.”
