ENGLAND star Ivan Toney said  he hopes “it’s coming home” – soon after getting the news of his World Cup call up.

The ace was at his favourite barbers in Clapham, South London not long after being told he’d made the Three Lions squad, and his reaction was caught on camera.

In a post on Instagram, barber HD CUTZ wrote: “The moment Ivan Toney received the England World Cup call up…

“Straight after the news, he pulled up to HD CUTZ.

“Everyone wants to know how he felt… and you heard it here first.

“This one’s legendary. HD CUTZ to the world.”

Striker Toney is seen in the barber’s chair wearing a barber’s cloak when the owner starts filming.

Introducing Toney on camera, the barber says: ”Ivan Toney Toney from Saudi to London to HD Cutz.”

Asked where he’s going this summer, Toney responds: “Someone told me I had to go to the World Cup innit, so I’m there you know, we’re there, we’re there.”

Toney was then asked how he feels about the call-up.

“It’s a big honour, of course, playing for your country, big tournament, big honour. Hopefully we do something special for the country, man, it’ll be crazy, it’ll be sick,” he said with a smile.

Toney, 30, who plays for Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli, said he hopes there’s ”something special” about this summer, adding: “Let’s hope it comes home, for real, for real.”

Toney was a surprise inclusion in Thomas Tuchel’s line-up, edging out Leeds star Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The England manager said he had to have “clear-the-air” talks with Toney before considering the striker’s recall for the 2026 World Cup, as he revealed he was “not happy” with “the level of training and level of commitment” in last year’s June camp.

Tuchel nevertheless re-opened communication with Toney and a frank chat saw them start anew.

Tuchel believes former Brentford star Toney offers many solutions in overcoming the “obstacles” and “scenarios” of the expanded 48-team World Cup in tough conditions.

But for Toney to be in the team, the German manager had to drop Manchester City‘s Phil Foden and Chelsea‘s Cole Palmer. For Foden, it was because he had a really bad season.

Palmer also paid the price after a topsy-turvy season and will watch this summer’s tournament from home.

Another was Harry Maguire, who joined his wife and mother to hit out at the England manager after he was dropped, even though Thomas Tuchel said he was surprised by the outburst given he had held conversations with the Manchester United defender.
