Microsoft Outlook Lite will officially be retired on all Android devices from tomorrow, and will no longer provide email functionality to users.
The tech giant has recommended all Lite users switch to the Outlook Mobile app to gain mailbox access.
In a note on its website, Microsoft said: “The Outlook Lite app will be fully retired and will no longer provide mailbox functionality starting May 25, 2026.
“To continue enjoying a secure and feature-rich email experience, we recommend switching to Outlook Mobile.“

All emails, calendar items, and attachments from Outlook Lite will remain in cloud storage, and can be accessed when logging onto Outlook Mobile.
No mailboxes or accounts will be deleted or disabled when the Lite app is retired, Microsoft also confirmed.
Outlook Lite has been semi-retired since October 2025, with Microsoft preventing any new users from downloading the app from then.
The app, launched in August 2022, hoped to increase email accessibility, creating a smaller-sized app that had fast performance while maintaining the core features.
It was also designed to work on all networks, including 2G and 3G networks worldwide.
Now, all the Lite features are available and supported on the main Outlook Mobile app, making the former now obsolete.
Outlook Lite users will be unable to access their mailboxes on the app from May 25, but can login to the main Outlook app to find any stored information.
