Gordon, 25, is being tracked by Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
However, the Premier League and Bundesliga champions now face competition for the winger’s signature from La Liga champions, Barcelona.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Gordon is highly regarded by Barca boss Hansi Flick and sporting director, Deco, who was in London recently to discuss a couple of Premier League targets.
He is under contract with the Magpies until 2030, and the report suggests they will demand at least £69million to sell the winger.

After Toon’s failure to land Champions League football, Gordon is set to be part of a mass exodus from the club this summer.
Other candidates linked with an exit from St James’ Park include Tino Livramento, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.
In the likely event Gordon leaves, Newcastle bosses have identified Manchester City winger Savinho as a possible replacement, though they would need to beat Tottenham to the 22-year-old’s signature.
But Barca also have other candidates under consideration.

Among them is former Man City star Julian Alvarez, while Chelsea ace Joao Pedro is also on the list after he was snubbed from Brazil’s World Cup squad.
The Blaugrana will be bidding farewell to veteran ace Robert Lewandowski when his contract expires this summer.
They are also considering the future of Marcus Rashford, with a £26m purchase clause in his loan deal from Manchester United.
