EVEN if the invitation doesn’t specifically state a dress code, there are usually certain unspoken rules when it comes to wedding outfits.
But one mum threw the rule book out of the window and has now been dubbed the ‘worst’ guest after she wore white to three weddings.

This comes after her own daughter outed her on Reddit for her various wardrobe faux pas.
The daughter, who is originally from Argentina, explained that her mum first donned a white dress to her uncle’s wedding several years ago, which seemed to spark a trend.
She shared a picture of her family from the big day, showing her uncle, the bride in her classic white gown, then other family members wearing darker colours, and her mum in a bright white dress.
“I thought the thing about her wearing white that day at my uncle’s wedding was just a confusion or an accident,” the daughter admitted.

But it soon became clear it was purposeful when the mum showed up to the daughter’s wedding in another white ensemble.
At the civil ceremony, the mum left her daughter stunned when she arrived in a pure white mini dress with no pattern or embellishments to distract from the colour.
“I got something upset that day but oh well,” the daughter confessed.
But since she still had her larger church wedding still to come, she assumed her mum would make more of an effort to wear something appropriate then.
To make sure there was no confusion, she even had a conversation with her mum and explained she didn’t want a repeat of the civil ceremony or her uncle’s wedding.
Her mum claimed she understood and apologised for wearing white the last time, but explained that the best formal dresses tend to be white whenever she goes shopping.
Defending herself further, the mum insisted that white clothes look better on her, so that’s why she wore them.
But in a bid not to upset the daughter further, the mum agreed to go shopping for something else this time.
When the big day finally came, the daughter discovered her mum had only half kept her promise.
She picked out a pair of brown trousers, but decided to pair them with “light beige top” which looked almost white in photos.
Although the daughter said she’d like to give her mum the benefit of the doubt when it came to her mum’s choice of tops, she asked fellow Reddit users what they thought of the situation.
“I told her that the colour is slightly pushing the limits but she says that its not exactly white. I don’t know if I am overreacting but since the Church Wedding more than a month passed and I am still thinking about this,” she said.
But Reddit users took issue with another outfit detail aside from the white looks.
One person commented on the viral post: “Aside from her wearing white, she’s dressed like she’s going to play tennis or run errands, not go to a wedding.”
A second agreed: “Imagine wearing athleisure to your own daughter’s wedding, let alone white athleisure.”
And a third chimed in: “I can’t tell if the mum is a gaslighting narcissist or completely clueless about fashion, elegance, and dress codes or just somewhere in between.
“The fact that not wearing white is a societal norm (which the bride mentions is the case) and that she’d been spoken to about this already has me leaning to column A.”
Meanwhile, others slammed the mum for being “disrespectful on two counts” and looking like she’s “just got back from a business lunch.”
Someone even said the mum must not have “the ability to feel shame” for her multiple fashion offences.
They wrote: “So underdressed in all the photos. But making herself a focal point by wearing white. She should feel embarrassed, but it kind of sounds like she doesn’t have the ability to feel shame.”
