As AAP party emerged victorious in 8 wards out of 15 in Doraha, AAP MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura termed it to be the “victory of common man.”He was given a hero’s welcome at Doraha on Friday. Expressing his gratitude towards the voters of Doraha, Giaspura shared that he is thankful to his people who have voted AAP to power.Talking to this correspondent on Friday, Giaspura asserted that the party has worked practically and not just on papers. He thanked the public which acted as per their conscience and worked under zero-pressure, while exercising their right to franchise.“The voters have been wise enough to vote for the party which has ushered in an era of change and change definitely for the better,” said the MLA.Expressing that transformation has already arrived in the entire set up, Giaspura said, “We have proven in these years that AAP is different from other parties in a way, that rather than providing a dictatorial regime, we have created a room for dialogue and debate on every crucial issue — which directly or indirectly affects the lives of the common man. We have made the lopsided system start functioning for the better. We are against corruption, hunger, disease, oppression, cruelty and misappropriation. The hitherto left unattended sectors of healthcare and education have also been revived by us,” he said.“We have restored the faith of the disgruntled youth who did not find anything better in Punjab today. We tried to establish a drug free, healthy and prosperous state. Ours is the party which has restored the lost glory of Punjab and alleviated the suffering of the common man, by erasing all negative factors working in the political system of the country,” expressed Giaspura.Similarly, the victorious AAP candidate Sudarshan Kumar Sharma, who has won from ward number 8 along with his wife Priya Sharma from ward number 5 and son Anmol Sharma from ward number 6, thanked the voters who had bestowed complete faith in them and enabled the party to rise as the strongest party. “I have no words to express my gratitude towards the voters. I am thankful to my people who have voted for progress and development. I shall try to discharge my responsibilities to the best of my capacity with the due support of my people. As the voters have reposed faith in me, I shall serve them with single minded devotion and zeal and never disappoint them at any stage,” added Kumar.
