Four students from government schools in Bathinda district have qualified the JEE Advanced 2026 examination, the results of which were declared on Monday, marking a significant academic achievement through the National Super 100 Programme, supported by HMEL Guru Gobind Singh Refinery and the Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), Delhi. The successful candidates are Anmolpreet Singh of Shaheed Sandeep Singh Government School, Paras Ram Nagar; Abhay Sama of Meritorious School, Bathinda; Prabhjot Singh of Government Senior Secondary School, Bhucho Mandi; and Kishna Bai of Meritorious School, Bathinda. The National Super 100 Programme is aimed at helping academically talented students from economically weaker sections prepare for competitive engineering entrance examinations. Under the initiative, selected students receive 11 months of fully sponsored residential coaching, accommodation, meals, study material, and mentorship. All four students earned admission to the programme after clearing a competitive entrance examination in 2025 and underwent intensive coaching at the CSRL Centre in Delhi.Their success stories reflect determination and perseverance in the face of financial challenges. Abhay Sama, a resident of Jandwala village in Fazilka district, comes from a family dependent on limited agricultural income. With his father battling a serious illness, professional coaching was beyond the family’s reach. His selection under the Super 100 Programme enabled him to prepare for one of the country’s toughest entrance examinations.Similarly, Prabhjot Singh of Puhli village, the son of a daily-wage worker, aspired to become an engineer but lacked the resources to join coaching classes. After securing a place in the programme, he received free coaching and is now poised to become the first engineer in his family. For Anmolpreet Singh, the programme opened doors to opportunities he was previously unaware of. Exposure to a competitive learning environment and interaction with talented students from across the country helped strengthen his confidence and academic abilities. He now hopes to pursue engineering at a reputed National Institute of Technology.Launched through HMEL’s partnership with CSRL in 2022, the National Super 100 Programme seeks to bridge educational inequalities and help deserving students gain admission to premier institutions such as IITs and NITs. Several students supported under the initiative have previously secured seats in institutions including IIT Guwahati, IIT Kharagpur, and NIT Jalandhar.
