Rather than sulk, Camavinga jetted across the pond to visit one of the world’s most prestigious universities.

Alongside several pictures of himself beaming on campus, Camavinga posted: “A few days of learning, listening and growing. Grateful for the experience at Harvard Business School”.

France are based at Bentley University in Massachusetts, just five miles and a 15-minute drive from Harvard.

The midfielder’s post received an astonishing 900,000 likes in less than 24 hours.

Camavinga has earned 29 France caps and was selected for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and Euro 2024 in Germany.

Explaining the decision to leave Camavinga out, boss Deschamps said: “His season, of course.

“A few injuries as well. And the competition, which is very, very tough. I’m not questioning his potential or what he’s capable of.

“But he’s entitled to be angry with me, I understand that.”

Deschamps, 57, will step down as France boss after the World Cup following 14 years at the helm.

Zinedine Zidane is set to succeed his former Les Bleus team-mate.
