THE 100 best restaurants in the UK have been named – and the top spot goes to a French-inspired bistro.
It marks the first time the restaurant has won the award since opening four years ago.

Bouchon Racine has been awarded the top spot for the National Restaurant of the year, displacing last year’s winner – The Ritz.
The Lyon-inspired eatery opened four years ago above The Three Compasses pub in Farringdon, offering a French bistro menu by chef Henry Harris.
Harris brought back the restaurant in late 2022, after selling the much-loved original Racine bistro on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, in 2015.
The Ritz has now been placed in joint second with Osip, a farm-to-table restaurant in the heart of Somerset.

Diners can experience an evolving menu based on daily produce, while staying at the restaurant’s guesthouse located in a former 300-year-old country inn.
In third place is Dorian, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Notting Hill which also features a French fusion menu.
More than half of the nation’s best restaurants are located in London, with a total of 55 sites spread across the capital.
However, prominent restaurants also feature in Edinburgh, Manchester and Yorkshire.
Ynyshir, a Welsh restaurant which previously won the award in 2022 and 2023, had also maintained its place in the top 10, coming in sixth place this year.
Other awards included Gastropub of the Year, which was given to The Devonshire, and the Estrella Damm Sustainability Award, which was handed to BiBi.
