France Outright Odds
France are 5/1 to lift the trophy come 19th July with Paddy Power.

At the back, it remains to be seen who is preferred in the full-back positions but William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano are likely to form a formidable centre-back partnership in front of Mike Maignan — Ibrahima Konate may also get his fair share of minutes.
France breezed through qualifying with five wins and a draw but really flexed their muscles during the March international break, when they beat Brazil and Colombia in the space of four days with two completely different starting line-ups.
Experience, firepower, depth… they tick a lot of boxes.
Golden Boot Contenders
There are some players who score shed-loads of goals during qualifying and then go missing when the lights are brightest — Mbappe is not among them.
As a teenager, the rapid forward lit up Russia in 2018 with a succession of electric performances that resulted in him winning FIFA Young Player Award.
Four years later, he levelled up to claim the Golden Boot in Qatar, thanks in no small part to an unforgettable hat-trick in the final.
Mbappe has bagged 12 goals in 14 World Cup appearances (an identical record to Pele) and needs just four more to equal Miroslav Klose’s all-time record.
With an extra knockout round at this year’s tournament, the prolific 27-year-old has a relatively good chance of becoming the greatest goalscorer in World Cup history at some point in the coming weeks.
He heads to North America in great shape having plundered 42 goals in 44 games for Real Madrid this season.
Mbappe is clearly the primary threat but France have multiple Golden Boot hopefuls in their squad, such is their depth.
Olise warmed up for the tournament with a hat-trick against Northern Ireland in a farewell friendly, a continuation of the world-beating form he’s exhibited for Bayern Munich all season long.
While Dembele is coming off the back of a prosperous campaign with PSG, during which he averaged a goal every 103.4 minutes.

If France go deep as expected then there’s a good chance Doue will be firmly in the frame for the Young Player Award.
The 21-year-old contributed five goals and four assists to PSG’s second successive Champions League victory and his eye-catching style of play lends itself to individual awards.
He faces stiff competition from Lamine Yamal, the bookies’ favourite, but if France go further than Spain then Doue is likely to be the strongest candidate, assuming he plays with the same delightful freedom he has displayed since bursting onto the scene.
