In a tragic road accident on Ferozepur Road here, a father and his two children were killed on the spot after a speeding car rammed their motorcycle head-on. The man’s wife and another child sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital in Faridkot, where their condition remains serious.According to information, the motorcycle, coming from the Ferozepur side, was struck by the car travelling in the opposite direction from Faridkot after the car veered into the wrong lane. The motorcyclist and his two children died at the scene. Bystanders and passers-by immediately shifted the injured woman and child to the hospital, after the ambulance arrived late.DSP (Investigation) Avtar Singh, who reached the spot, identified the deceased motorcyclist as Gori, a resident of Chahil village. He said the car has been seized. Several sticks and batons were also seized from the vehicle. DSP Avtar Singh said the seizure of these items is being investigated, and those found guilty will not be spared.Eyewitnesses and passers-by said the car was traveling at an extremely high speed and had crossed onto the wrong side before hitting the motorcycle.
