DJ LUCK and MC Neat are bringing “a little bit of luck” to the luckiest cafe in London – kicking off the opening with a unique music set.

The UK duo, who were big on the garage scene in the 90s and 00s, got things started by playing their 1999 hit “A Little Bit of Luck”.

It sold 250,000 copies at the time – sending spectators into a nostalgic overdrive.

With the song recently going viral thanks to the TikTok “Trudy Knight”, in which users lip-sync to Molly-Mae Hague’s voiceover, the duo helped launch the Two Yolks: Lotto’s Luckiest Café.

The cafe is an immersive brunch pop-up to celebrate Lotto’s exciting new format, where every £2 line now gives players two chances to win.

Alongside their huge 90s hit, they also performed a feel-good set of “lucky” and “winning” tracks.

The tunes are a fitting tribute as research reveals nearly half of adults (44 per cent) have go-to songs or playlists when they want to feel lucky or boost their mood.

Commenting on the launch located at Old Queen Street Café in Westminster, DJ Luck and MC Neat said: “Opening Two Yolks: Lotto’s Luckiest Café was a no-brainer for us – luck is literally in the name.

“We came down to bring the good vibes, play a few lucky tunes and give everyone a ‘little bit of luck’ to start their day off right.

“The atmosphere was wicked, serving up good energy from start to finish – from double-yolk brunches, surprise prizes, to people singing along and getting into the lucky spirit.

“The whole place had that feeling of good things coming in twos, which made it the perfect way to kick off Lotto’s new two-chances-to-win era.”

The launch taps into the nation’s appetite for everyday luck, with more than 18 million UK adults considering themselves lucky, with 40 per cent agreeing that small signs of luck can influence how the rest of their day goes.

Taking inspiration from the idea that luck has always liked company, from two magpies and angel numbers like 11:11 to double rainbows and double-yolk eggs, the café has been created to celebrate the small everyday signs that make people feel fortune might just be on their side.

The OnePoll.com data also revealed Brits already believe in the power of pairs as four in 10 believe good things often come in twos.

While 65 per cent say having a second chance makes them feel more optimistic.

But when it comes to keeping luck on side, people are taking no chances as 36 per cent admit they avoid speaking too positively too early.

As well as 26 per cent have even delayed sharing good news in case it is too good to be true.

Following today’s launch, Two Yolks: Lotto’s Luckiest Café is open to the public until Saturday 13th June.

There will be limited walk-ins available for guests hoping to tuck into a menu inspired by the idea that some things simply feel better in twos.

The cafe’s luck-themed menu includes a classic double-yolk fry-up, a pair of brioche pastries inspired by a Bakewell tart, and a winner-winner chicken schnitzel, with one £2 ticket admitting two guests.
