THIS is the ultimate rich list for France’s 2026 World Cup squad – and the findings are shocking.

Didier Deschamps‘ 26-man group for the tournament is widely considered to be the best for sheer quality and depth.

It comes at a cost – but mostly for the French team’s club sides.

With FIVE back-to-back Champions League winners with PSG included – and another seven from the Prem – it is as stacked as anyone can boast this summer.

2018 winners and 2022 runners up France will go to USA, Canada, and Mexico with the ambition of not only making a third final in a row, but returning to their position of champs.

The players they have are certainly paid enough to make you think they are capable of doing so.

Unsurprisingly, Qatar top scorer Kylian Mbappe tops the list for both weekly wages and yearly salary (including bonuses).

According to Capology, the Real Madrid star earns a staggering £1.192million PER WEEK.

That is the sort of dosh that a consecutive LaLiga Pichichi (top scorer) winner demands.

He has bagged 86 goals since moving from PSG in 2024 but hasn’t lifted any domestic silverware.

Didier Deschamps’ group earn over £300million each year in total

Mbappe, 27, remains one of the most popular players on the planet, though, and rakes in a ridiculous £62million each year in total.

The former Monaco prodigy owns a £9million mansion north of the Spanish capital that previously homed Gareth Bale – and it boasts 11 bathrooms, eight bedrooms, and a garage fit for six cars.

Mbappe’s wonga can afford anything – and he has a mammoth swimming pool and cinema for good measure.

His status as an icon of the sport means nobody else in the squad earns even half what Los Blancos pay him.

Ballon d’Or holder Ousmane Dembele – who has thrived in Paris since Mbappe left – is second on the rich list at a giant – but comparatively meagre – £453,000 a week.

Dembele, who was seen as an expensive but talented flop for much of his career due to injuries after leaving Borussia Dortmund to join Barcelona, has become a ruthless No9.

He has dominated English teams in the UCL over the past two seasons and was crowned the world’s best player for his achievements.

With extras he reaches a smidge over £23.5million per year, and that is closer to ex-team-mate Theo Hernandez than it is to Mbappe, by a long way.

Hernandez, whose brother Lucas is still at PSG and comes in at fifth on the list – swapped European glory for the mega bucks of Saudi Arabia last summer.

He was a huge hit at Milan having never really made it at Real, but ditched San Siro for searing sun instead.

Theo now has all the money to show for it with more than £20million a year as well.

Barcelona‘s Jules Kounde is fourth on £325k – a big sum for a financially unstable club.

It leaves Arsenal lynchpin William Saliba the first Prem man at sixth.

He penned a new deal in August after thriving since his full integration in 2022.

That made him one of the highest paid defenders around – and it was rewarded with this year’s league title at the Emirates.

Saliba is said to be on barely six grand more than Bayern trickster Michael Olise.

He took a giant pay hike when upgrading from Crystal Palace and reaching the big time.

Aurelien Tchouameni completes the eight player set on over £250k per week.

The midfielder is a reported transfer target for several continental powers this summer and might be planning on increasing that again if he does move.

PSG’s versatile academy graduate Warren Zaire-Emery and Manchester City skill supremo Rayan Cherki round out the top 10.

They are just in front of Dayot Upamecano, who agreed a fresh contract earlier this year after a U-turn in fortunes.

He is the last base-wage £200k-a-week player, with a surprise next in Milan’s Adrien Rabiot.

The former PSG mid left Marseille after being outcast by Roberto De Zerbi for fighting with team-mate Jonathan Rowe.

Veteran Rabiot is still getting top dollar for his services.

Ibrahima Konate decided he would leave Liverpool in search of extra pounds, and he’s next up.

The centre-back certainly had a down season at Anfield but believes he warranted much more than the £187k currently on offer.

Liverpool chiefs couldn’t match his demands and now Konate is a free agent with plenty of options expected to come.

Aston Villa favourite Lucas Digne is behind him before PSG attacking duo Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue, both reportedly on £160,000-£166,000 respectively.

Milan rivals Mike Maignan and Marcus Thuram are ahead of N’Golo Kante, whose wages appear low at £130k, even after ending his stay at Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad and going to Fenerbahce.

Nottingham Forest promotion hero Brice Samba is the last in the top 20 and the final £100,000 per week player as well.

Manu Kone and Monaco starlet Maghnes Akliouche are either side of Jean-Philippe Mateta, who is another in line for a rise if he leaves Crystal Palace.

Fellow Eagles standout performer Maxence Lacroix – also linked with a move in the upcoming window – almost rounds it out.

Error- prone Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto is 25th on just over £56,000 having signed his one and only deal at Stamford Bridge in January 2023 as a flyer out of Lyon.

Newcastle goalkeeper target Robin Risser – owned by Lens – props up the table on a tiny £12k.

His yearly salary comes in at just £631,000, just over half what Mbappe earns every seven days.

Risser also gets nearly an entire £1million less each week than his pal.

The youngster is said to bring in more than £2.3million LESS than any of the other squad members at the moment.

Overall, these players get £6.8million a week combined with yearly earnings of over £300million.

That will take some beating for the tournament – and so will the team on the pitch.
