ENGLAND’s second World Cup group stage test against Ghana is set to go ahead at the scheduled time despite plenty of wind and rain in Boston.

With conditions almost perfect in Dallas when the Three Lions played there, things are much cooler on the second stop of England’s American tour.

With conditions overcast and looking like ideal storm weather, some fans are fearing delays similar to those seen in France’s win over Iraq yesterday.

But that is not expected to be the case as it stands, with no severe weather alerts issued.

There was heavy rain in Boston last night as England fans partied in the shelter of bars in the city centre, and while the rain has slowed for now, it looks as though it could start again any moment.

Scattered showers are expected to continue throughout the day, with thunderstorms expected on Thursday and Friday rather than today – so France could be bothered again as they play here next.

While it’s wet and cloudy, it’s far from cold.

It’s still 20 degrees here, which you would imagine is a nice break from the heat England have been facing in Dallas and at their training base in Kansas City.

It should feel like home from home for Thomas Tuchel’s players, with the weather no excuse – perhaps a cup of tea will be preferred to ice packs for the hydration break…

And while the weather is downcast, the atmosphere is far from it.
