The embrace was also celebrated as “special” as fans paid tribute to the pair.
One wrote: “The most magical footballer of all time alongside the greatest wizard of the era, ladies and gentlemen. A hug that moves the entire football world.”
Neymar started on the bench in the game after only recently returning from injury.
The Santos star missed Brazil’s 3-0 win over Haiti as he builds up his fitness.
But manager Carlo Ancelotti felt he was in a good enough condition for a spot on the bench against the Scots.
And Neymar did come off the bench in Brazil’s confident 3-0 victory over the Scots as Vinicius Jr netted a brace and Matheus Cunha also got on the scoreboard.
He was introduced in the 75th minute for his first game in nearly three years.
Neymar last played for Brazil in October 2023 during a World Cup qualifying game against Uruguay.
He suffered a severe ACL tear during that game, which sparked the start of a horror spell on the sidelines.
