Czechia, who had West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek stretchered off with a worrying injury during the defeat, only picked up one point to finish rock bottom of Group A.
And Schick has confirmed he will not be adding to his 56 caps after a dismal World Cup.
In a shock statement released on social media, he said: “Today, my national team chapter is coming to an end.
“This decision is not impulsive and did not come about overnight. It is an idea that I have carried within me for a long time and that I have thought about for a long time.
