According to fashion experts, it’s all about Paisley pattern this year.

The gorgeous, teardrop print has its origins in Iran and Persia – but got its name from the Scottish mill town were designs were reproduced in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Now it’s been brough bang up to date, appearing on dresses, skirts and scarves.

The fashion team at Tu, Sainsbury’s popular clothing line, say: “Florals take a back seat this season as paisley re-emerges as the print defining summer 2026.”

The supermarket is getting on board with the trend with its chocolate brown boho trapeze midaxi dress which balances the oversized pattern with a clean, fluid silhouette.

At £22.50, it’s a an absolute steal and a bargain way to tap into one of the season’s key print trends.

Describing it online, the Tu fashion team said: “Update your summer wardrobe with this relaxed and flattering trapeze dress – designed with a flowing silhouette and an all-over print.

“Featuring thin straps and a V neckline, it’s ideal for warm-weather styling.”

They added: “Pair with jelly flip flops and a straw bag for an instant off-duty look.”

And shoppers are also loving the dress, which comes in sizes six to 24 and is also available in green and pink colourways, with different bold patterns.

It’s already racking up five star reviews.
