But with half an hour played, Al-Tambakti went down without anyone around him in worrying scenes.
The Al-Hilal centre-back, 27, was treated on the field.
The medics then took him off on the stretcher.
It is understood he suffered a worrying leg injury.
Harrowing live TV scenes saw him being taken off as fans watched on in horror.
Players from both sides applauded and wished him well as he was taken for further treatment.
