President Trump is not exactly Mr. Popular in the world of football right now
The President posted shortly after Kane scored what proved to be the decisive penalty in England’s 3-2 win over Mexico at the Azteca Stadium.
Jude Bellingham had scored two goals in the space of 98 seconds – the second of which Kane unselfishly set-up – to give England a well-deserved lead.
But the Mexicans pegged Thomas Tuchel‘s men back on the stroke of half-time through Julian Quinones, his fourth of the tournament.
Jarrell Quansah was sent off after 54 minutes to put England in a hole, but Anthony Gordon won a penalty on the hour mark that Kane would dispatch for his sixth of the tournament.

Mexico won a penalty of their own nearly 10 minutes later that Raul Jimenez whipped home to set up a nervy closing stanza in the high-altitude Azteca.
Trump is not alone in his praise of Kane. The Three Lions skipper has scored 73 goals this season and appears to have saved his best for the World Cup.
Of course, Trump is one of the men hosting the tournament between the US, Mexico and Canada.
But he has come under heavy criticism after appearing to use his influence to have Folarin Balogun’s red card rescinded against Bosnia.

So much so that he lost his voice singing Oasis‘ Wonderwall with the squad to the England fans after the victory was secured.
