Filmmaker and actor Trupti Bhoir has opened up about the special moment that sealed Taha Shah Badussha’s casting in her upcoming film Paro, sharing that it wasn’t an audition but a heartfelt conversation that convinced her he was the right fit.Paro is an emotionally driven drama that explores themes of resilience, relationships and human emotions. As both the creative force behind the project and one of its key performers, Trupti said she was looking for an actor who could bring not only talent but also authenticity to the role.Recalling their first meeting, Trupti shared that while discussing the script and Taha’s character, the actor made a remark that instantly stood out. Rather than talking about how the film could benefit his career, Taha simply said, “I think this will give more happiness to my mother that I’ve accepted this film.”For Trupti, that one sentence revealed the person behind the actor. She felt it reflected his humility, grounded nature and deep bond with his family, qualities she believed would naturally translate into his performance.”The moment Taha said, ‘I think this will give more happiness to my mother that I’ve accepted this film,’ I knew he was the one. I immediately thought, ‘I want him only!’ There was such honesty and warmth in that one line that it made the decision effortless,” she recalled.According to Trupti, an actor’s personality off-screen often shapes the sincerity they bring to their craft.
