Three days after a devastating landslide struck the Nithar area of Wayanad in Kerala, rescue teams are still searching for Rahul Sharma, an engineer from Rewalsar in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district, who remains missing.Sharma was working in Wayanad when the disaster occurred. Despite extensive search operations through the debris, there has been no trace of him so far.His father and maternal uncle have reached the accident site, while his wife, who was already there, has been closely following every stage of the rescue efforts.According to family members, several people have been rescued alive from the debris, but Rahul and a few others are still unaccounted for. His younger brother is returning home from Dubai to support the family during the crisis.Back in Rewalsar, the family is anxiously waiting for positive news. Rahul’s mother remains inconsolable, repeatedly asking when her son will return.The tragedy has been especially heartbreaking as Rahul had got married only in March, and the family had recently celebrated the new beginning. His sister said the approaching Raksha Bandhan has deepened the family’s grief.
