The mass of dust rolled into South Florida from across the Atlantic earlier this week, mostly floating about a mile off of the ground.
But the cloud can still play a part in triggering allergies and present dangers to people with respiratory issues.
The dry Thursday will be followed by similarly high temperatures the next day, but this time the humidity will be ramping up, as storms are projected to return.

England have struggled to contend with the extreme heat since touching down in the US last month.
But things won’t be any easier for their Nordic opponents, who are likely more used to snowstorms than dust clouds.
