BIG Four giant KPMG is set to slash another 200 staff from its UK workforce.
The accountancy firm will cut the roles from its corporate services division, which includes HR, corporate affairs, marketing, tech and procurement.
It said the cuts are part of a merger between KPMG’s UK and Swiss businesses agreed in 2024.
A KPMG spokesperson told City AM, which first revealed the layoffs: “As we continue to integrate our UK and Swiss businesses to deliver on our group strategy and drive growth, we are looking at the shape of our operating model.”

“This includes launching proposals to reduce roles in our central services by 10% to avoid duplication, make the most of our technology investments and to expand our offshore delivery.

It comes after KPMG axed more than 500 staff earlier this year – around 6% of its 7,100 employees.
Job cuts are taking place across most of the Big Four accounting and finance firms in the UK.
It was announced this week that rival PwC is set to also slash jobs in its audit division, although the exact number is not known.
Meanwhile, Deloitte said last month it was looking to cut nearly 200 jobs in its UK audit business.
Britain is currently experiencing a jobs crisis, with job vacancies plummeting to their lowest levels in five years last month.
Unemployment hit 4.9% in the three months to April, the latest official figures revealed.
