TG Jones has been on the “brink of collapse”, with 5,000 jobs at risk, with millions owed suppliers and the taxman, as well as hefty outstanding business rates.
Earlier this month, the brand was saved from administration, with a rescue deal outlining the closure of 150 locations.

The Thistles closure will also see the shuttering of the in-store Post Office service.
TG Jones was created by private equity firm Modella Capital through the bought £76million purchase of WH Smith’s high street estate.
While the retailer operates 480 stores across the UK, the Thistles branch was the only one in the Stirling area.
The next closest store is in Kirkintilloch, a 23 mile-round trip for Stirling residents.
A spokesperson for TG Jones said: “We can confirm that we will be exiting our store in Stirling on 11th July.
“We have not been able to find an alternative location and are working with the Post Office as they seek a new partner for Stirling.”
