MARKS & Spencer has finally opened its biggest ever Foodhall today, with the enormous new branch spanning 22,000 sq ft.
Taking over the site of a former Homebase, the store will have a range of fan-favourite features, including an in-store bakery.

M&S lovers are rushing to Surrey today as the retailer opens its biggest standalone Foodhall in the country.
Located at the site of a former Homebase in Godalming, the massive branch boasts a range of food counters, and even more Remarksable value products.

Inside, shoppers can enjoy an expanded in-store bakery, serving its very best sweet treats, as well as grabbing some hot chicken at the new rotisserie counter.
A wider range of fresh produce can be picked up throughout the stores dedicated multi-temperature sections, including one for herbs, organic produce, and fruit.

Cooking utensils, pots and pans will also be on offer at the brand-new kitchen shop, fitted with the necessary family essentials.
Those hoping to grab a bargain will be delighted, as this store will include even more of the retailer’s expanded Remarksable Value range.
29 additional everyday shopping staples, such as Fruit & Fibre Cereal Flakes, White Bread Finger Rolls, Pork Shoulder Steaks, and Microwaveable Rice, can now be bought at a cut down price.
Children can help out with the big shop as well, using mini-trolleys included in the store.
Managing director of M&S Food, Alex Freudmann, said: “Godalming will be our biggest ever standalone Food store and an example of the kind of modern, full-range Foodhall we’re investing in as we double the size of the business.
“At the same time, expanding Remarksable Value to 175 products means more customers can get everyday low prices without compromising on the M&S quality they expect.”
Earlier this week, M&S reopened its refurbished flagship store on Oxford Street, revealing two upgraded floors of shopping and bespoke clothing services.
Yesterday, a 41,000 sq ft superstore in Weymouth, Dorset also opened to the public, offering a “spacious fashion offering” and a fan-favourite bakery.
