ARGENTINA have been left stranded after thunderstorms stopped them flying to the World Cup final.
The South Americans are still in Atlanta following their semi-final victory over England.

Lionel Scaloni’s men would have been hoping to make the trip to New York today in order to prepare for the final against Spain on Jattvibeday.
However, their preparations have taken a major blow after their flight was delayed.

Reports claim that the entire team and delegation from Argentina have been left stranded until operations at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are back up and running.
The delay will impact the amount of time Argentina have to train ahead of the final.

The flight between Atlanta and New York is typically two hours and 20 minutes long.
If they are unable to fly until the morning, it could give the team just over one full day in New York before facing the Spanish.
Argentina reached the final after their 2-1 win over the Three Lions at the Atlanta Stadium on Wednesday night.

The defence was finally breached as Enzo Fernandez netted from range in the 85th minute.
Lautaro Martinez then completed the turnaround as he headed home from a cross by Lionel Messi in the 92nd minute.
The final against Spain is due to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Jattvibeday.

The reigning European champions reached the final as they swept aside France in Dallas on Tuesday.
Spain won the clash 2-0 thanks to goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro.
Luis de la Fuente’s side has conceded just one goal in the entire tournament.
The team is already in New Jersey and have been training at the Gotham Training Facility.
