ANDY Burnham has taken over as Labour leader and will become Prime Minister on Monday after succeeding Sir Keir Starmer.
The incoming PM has insisted: “I have a plan” – brushing off criticism that he has yet to set out a blueprint for how he will run the country.

In his first speech as leader, Burnham promised to “do politics differently”, saying he would stay “close to the people”.
The former Greater Manchester mayor will become Britain’s seventh Prime Minister in 10 years when Starmer formally resigns and the King invites Burnham to form a government on Monday.
