A POPULAR shopping centre has been forced to shut after glass fell from its ceiling earlier this week.
The area is set to remain closed throughout the weekend while repairs take place.

Swan Walk in Horsham had to close after a pane of the glass ceiling crashed to the floor.
A spokesperson confirmed that work is expected to take place over the weekend to fix the issue.

It has not yet been confirmed when the shopping centre will reopen.
They told The Argus: “We wish to provide you with a further update following the temporary closure of Swan Walk Shopping Centre.

“Our priority remains the safety of everyone who works in and visits the centre.
“We are continuing to work closely with specialist contractors and are progressing investigations and solutions as quickly as possible.
“Unfortunately, the centre will remain closed over the weekend while this work continues.
“We appreciate the impact this has on our customers, and we are grateful for your patience and understanding.
“We will provide a further update on Monday.”
Horsham District Council is set to offer stalls free of charge on Saturday for businesses in the shopping centre.
This initiative, in consultation with Swan Walk, Your Horsham BID and market operators, aims to support affected traders.
