The Spaniard, 31, headed to Royal Birkdale looking to add to his tally of two majors.

He got off to a poor start, however, and found himself a long way off the lead.
After a particularly disappointing shot, Rahm let out his frustration.

The Ryder Cup star furiously ripped his glove in half after sending his ball out of bounds.
Rahm won the U.S. Open in 2021 and the Masters in 2023.
Later that year he decided to sign with LIV Golf.
He has not won a major since, although he did finish tied for second at the PGA Championship earlier this year.
Rahm is not the only golfer to have shown their frustration at this year’s Open.
