Punjabi actor Rabbi Kandola joined the Amritpal Singh-led Akali Dal Waris Punjab De here on Thursday.Welcoming the actor into the party fold, Akali Dal Waris Punjab De leader Manpreet Singh Ayali said the joining of Kandola will boost the party, its social outreach and grassroots support.He expressed confidence that Kandola’s presence will further amplify the party’s voice on issues concerning Punjab and its youth.Kandola has acted in many Punjabi films such as “Mitti”, “Masand” and “Yaar Mera Rab Varga”.Speaking to reporters here, Kandola said he was inspired by the party’s commitment to promoting and protecting the Punjabi mother tongue and safeguarding the rights of Punjabis.He said Akali Dal Waris Punjab De is the only party that is committed to raising the issues of Punjab and standing by the rights of the people of the state.Faridkot MP Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa and Tarsem Singh, father of Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, were also present at the joining ceremony.
