A RUSSIAN OnlyFans star has dodged prison but has been fined £45,000 and handed three-year internet ban amid Putin’s war on porn.

Sofya Vershinina, 21, has been convicted of producing and distributing explicit online videos in a Moscow court.

As part of her sentence she has been ordered to pay £45,000.

She has also been barred from appearing online, using the internet or from running her digital business for three years in a massive blow to her income.

Sofya, also known as Sonya Marmeladova, became one of many models charged by the Kremlin after President Vladimir Putin installed a nationwide crackdown on the state’s booming porn industry.

Russian prosecutors say she earned £300,000 from selling X-rated videos and sold intimate content on Telegram messenger while living in an elite Moscow skyscraper penthouse.

After pleading guilty and expressing remorse, she received a three-year suspended jail sentence that could take effect if she breaches the strict conditions.

She arrived at the Moscow court in a white Mercedes expecting a custodial sentence after prosecutors demanded three-and-a-half years in a penal colony.

Her gold iPhone 16 Pro Max remains seized but her sex toys and accessories that had been evidence in the case were returned.

Sofya is one of a number of high-profile models targeted by Russian law enforcement under the Putin crackdown on anti-traditional values.

Another model and influencer Diana Shurygina, 27, is currently custody awaiting trial.

Sources say the case against her centres on “intimate content” she allegedly sold to paying subscribers on OnlyFans.

Diana became a household name at just 17 when she appeared on television to reveal she had been the victim of a gang rape the previous year.

The explosive case led to the jailing of one of the men she accused and gripped the nation.

Anastasia Ovsyannikova, 24, known under the stage name Nastya Kholod, was also held on suspicion of illegal production and circulation of pornographic materials.

She and Diana made adult content for OnlyFans together and separately.

Alleged German producer of X-rated videos Ludwig Krichker was also detained and his residence was searched with equipment seized.

The Moscow Times reported earlier: “Criminal cases have started being launched in Russia for porn on OnlyFans.”

Reports say state investigators in Putin’s Russia “have taken on the porn industry”. 

Legal experts warn the net could widen even further on Putin’s enforcement on so-called “traditional values”.
