RUSSIA has unleashed a deadly missile and drone barrage on Kyiv with at least 14 people killed and 27 injured across the capital.
Moscow pummelled the Ukrainian city for over an hour with dozens of homes left in ruins as rescuers warn people may still be trapped under the rubble.

The attack is one of the deadliest strikes on Kyiv this year, with four civilians wounded being rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said brave rescuers pulled two people from the ruins of a warehouse near the city centre which was destroyed in the attack.

He added: “There may still be people under the rubble. Search and rescue operations are proceeding.”
Nine people were killed in the Boryspil district, four in the Bucha district, and one in the Fastiv district.

Head of Kyiv’s military administration, Timur Tkachenko, said the “enemy is once again massively attacking the Kyiv region” as strikes started just after midnight.
Russia‘s defence ministry claimed it had only struck logistics hubs and supply centres in Kyiv and the surrounding region.
Klitschko confirmed several warehouses were struck but said dozens of ballistic missiles and drones also hit homes and public buildings.

The Kyiv military administration added the attack caused an ammonia leak that emergency crews were tackling long into the night.
Strikes between Russia and Ukraine are continuing to intensify after major attacks by both sides.
Ukraine brought war to Putin’s doorstep earlier in the week by dragging the tyrant’s personal palaces into the crosshairs in an explosive show of strength.
A Black Sea blitz left smoke billowing into the sky over Putin’s secret hideouts while a fatal bombing in Moscow last weekend struck just one mile from the Kremlin.
Since mid-July, Ukraine has struck dozens of sites belonging to Wildberries – the country’s biggest e-commerce platform dubbed Russia’s Amazon.
This followed a genius campaign of targeting Russian oil hubs and transport links, to paralyse Putin’s regime and spark fuel shortages.
Ukraine’s strikes deep inside Russia are part of a wider effort to push Moscow to the negotiation table and end the fighting.
