The BJP top brass has called Punjab state chief Kewal Dhillon and state organising secretary Mantri Srinivasulu for a meeting to Delhi today.Dhillon and Srinivasulu left for Delhi from Ludhiana where they were addressing the meetings of Punjab BJP’s newly elected state body and district presidents.A meeting on SIR in Punjab is also scheduled in Ludhiana after the broad state body meeting of Punjab BJP.But both Dhillon and Srinivasulu left the Ludhiana meetings midway to leave for Delhi. However, the actual agenda of the meeting to be held in Delhi remains unclear with sections in the Punjab BJP claiming that the growing dissent in the state after the formation of the new executive is a likely agenda.Another section, however, says the meeting has been called as a follow-up to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s preliminary meeting with the Punjab top brass on state poll planning.A large section of the Punjab BJP is upset with the recent state unit overhaul and Nitin Nabin is expected to discuss that.Former minister Tikshan Sood and his loyalists have resigned from their posts in protest. Also on the agenda for the Delhi could be the future poll plans in the state. The Tribune has learnt that BJP national general secretary organisation BL Santosh and Nitin Nabin will together meet Dhillon and Srinivasulu. The meeting also comes just a day after Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
