An ex-serviceman, identified as Baljinder Singh (40), was allegedly found murdered under mysterious circumstances at his residence at Khiali Chahlanwali village in Mansa district on Friday night. The deceased had sustained an injury to the rear of his head, apparently caused by a sharp-edged weapon.The police have detained his wife for questioning. The body was sent to the Civil Hospital at Sardulgarh for post-mortem.Baljinder was reportedly working at a private factory. Some village residents said he and his wife had been embroiled in domestic disputes since long. The disputes had allegedly escalated several times.Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. Baljinder is survived by a daughter and a son.DSP Harpreet Singh said that the family has given a statement accusing the deceased’s wife.
