In a recent video, the mum of two shared her super-easy flower hack for all homeowners to try – and it only costs 69p.

She explains that all you need to do is add a few drops of bleach into a full vase of fresh flowers.

Then do the same thing again later on when you swap out the water for a fresh vase.

Some brands of bleach, including Easy Bleach Seriously Thick, can be picked up for just 69p in supermarkets like Tesco.

In the clip, shared on Facebook, Hazel said: “Got a hack for you for those fresh flowers, right.”

Holding up the flower food packets in one hand and a bottle of bleach in the other, she adds: “So this is your little gel that you pop in the water, and this is a bit of bleach.

“So what am I going in with for in that water? I’m going in with the bleach.

“Just a couple of wee drops in the water purifies it, cleans it and keeps your flowers lasting a whole lot longer and fresher.

“Same again when you go to renew your water, just another couple of drops.  So I would not use the stuff that you get with your flowers.

“I would go in with your wee bit of bleach, and that is a wee top tip right there for you for keeping those flowers fresher for longer.”

The clip has racked up more than 8,300 views since it was shared last week.
