Pedro Porro remains the clear first choice at right-back for head coach Roberto De Zerbi, with Andy Robertson and Destiny Udogie providing competition for the England international on the left side.
That could result in limited game time for Spence if nothing changes.

With his future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium now uncertain, Inter Milan have swooped in to hold talks.
Sky Sports claims that Inter officials believe a total package worth £30million could tempt Spurs to sell.
It’s understood that Tottenham would be open to letting Spence go if they receive an acceptable offer.
Inter Milan are keen to bring in a new player who can operate as a wing-back.
The Italian giants have turned to Spence after failing to strike a deal for Al-Ittihad star Moussa Diaby this month.
They have also been linked with a move for Tottenham centre-back Cristian Romero ahead of the new season.

It was reported last week that Inter were planning on making a £35m offer for the Argentina international.
However, interest from Atletico Madrid has thrown that pursuit into doubt.
Romero made 32 appearances for Tottenham last season, while Spence made 44 across all competitions.
