A BELOVED family-run restaurant is set to close down after almost three decades of serving.
The independent business confirmed it will stop trading due to a “change of circumstance”, with last orders set to be taken in September.

Burrs Restaurant on the Isle of Wight opened in 1997 inside The Bugle Tap pub building and has been serving the community ever since.
The fine dining eatery boasts a menu featuring the likes of prime British filet steak, pan fried duck breast, deep fried Brie, crispy fried pork belly and cheesy garlic bread.

Offering an à la carte menu as well as a three- course set menu for £33.50, Burrs has gained a 4.9 Tripadvisor rating with plenty of rave reviews.
Diners have hailed it “fantastic” and the “number one” restaurant on the Isle of Wight.

But after 29 years, the eatery will close for good following its final day of service on September 29.
Owner, Matt Burr, took to Facebook to confirm the “difficult decision”.
“I’ve been wanting to retire for a while now, and due to a change in circumstance and family commitments, the time has finally come to call it a day,” he wrote.
Thanking those who supported Burrs during its time, Matt added: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to every single customer who has supported us throughout the years.
“Your loyalty, conversations, laughter and memories have meant more than you’ll ever know. And, of course, a massive thank you to all the staff, past and present, who have helped make Burrs what it is.”
In an emotional sign- off,hes continued: “It’s not an easy goodbye, but it’s the right time for me and my family. For me, it’s a very emotional goodbye. But don’t be sad it’s ove, r be glad it happened!”
