ROBBIE FOWLER’S son has sealed a shock move to Gibraltar in a bid to reignite his career.
Jacob Fowler, 20, was released by League One side Stockport County, who suffered play-off final heartbreak last season.

And the attacking midfielder has penned a deal with Europa after spending the summer searching for a fresh challenge.
He is now preparing for regular first-team action following a spell in the Stockport Under-21s.

Europa booked their place in the first qualifying round of the Conference League thanks to finishing fourth in the Gibraltar National League last term.
But they missed out on progressing to the league phase after being thumped 6-0 an aggregate by North Macedonian outfit Shkendija.

Fowler has followed in his dad’s footsteps by spending time with Liverpool and Blackburn during the early stages of his career.
But he left Rovers, who started their season with a draw against Wolves last night, after featuring for the U18s.
And Fowler, who also had a stint in the Oxford United youth set-up, joined Stockport last year.
Europa boss Michele Di Piedi offered the playmaker, who previously had a trial at Rangers, a career lifeline after featuring in the EFL during his own playing career.

The Italian donned the colours of Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol Rovers and Doncaster Rovers before hanging up his boots.
