Delap, 23, signed for the Blues in a £30million move from Ipswich last summer but has hasn’t kicked on at Stamford Bridge.

He scored just once in the Prem last season after starting 12 games and suffered with injuries.
The forward missed a total of 14 games last season through a hamstring issue and a problem with his shoulder.

Delap’s place in the team looks uncertain under Xabi Alonso this season, with Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck, new signing Emmanuel Emegha and even Nicolas Jackson ahead of him in the pecking order.
And Oliver Glasner’s Forest have now entered the race to take him off Chelsea’s hands, according to talkSport.

Delap has been told he can leave the club this summer, the report says.
But Chelsea would be looking for £40m to give themselves a healthy profit.
Forest look to be leading the race to sign Delap amid interest from Serie A side Como.

However, Delap is keen to stay in the Premier League, the report claims, giving Forest the upper hand.
Everton and Newcastle are two other teams being linked with Delap.
But Forest are in need of more firepower with Taiwo Awoniyi set to join newly-promoted Coventry City.
Delap is hoping to get his confidence back after previously bagging 12 goals for Ipswich in the 2024-25 campaign.
Chelsea will be eager to offload a handful of fringe stars after spending nearly £350m this summer.
