A family returning from a religious visit to a dera in Nakodar was involved in a tragic road accident near Phillaur, in which a 38-year-old man, his wife and their six-year-old daughter were killed.The incident has left the bereaved family devastated, while relatives have appealed to the police and administration for justice.According to a friend of the deceased, the family was returning home after paying obeisance at the Nakodar dera along with relatives and other close acquaintances. Vinay, 38, a resident of Ludhiana, was travelling on an Activa scooter with his wife, Suman, 35, and their six-year-old daughter, Kaveesha.The accident occurred near the Haripur Khalsa Gate in Phillaur when a speeding car allegedly rammed into their scooter. The impact was so severe that the Activa was badly damaged. Suman and Kaveesha reportedly died on the spot, while Vinay sustained serious injuries.Vinay was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment, but he later succumbed to his injuries. The deaths of all three family members have plunged their relatives and friends into grief.The family members have demanded strict action and justice in the case. According to the available information, the car driver also suffered minor injuries and is undergoing treatment.The police have recorded statements and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident.
