A MARRIED teacher who had sex with a 15-year-old boy and left him a note reading “I enjoy every piece of you” has been jailed.

Emily Drury, 26, targeted the teen when after seeing him drink with a friend, Lincoln Crown Court heard.

Drury would engage in sexual activity with the boy while acting as a private tutor between May and June last year.

She pleaded guilty to the charge of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a teenage boy, and four charges of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a teenage boy.

After the last incident Drury dressed before whispering to the boy “you can’t tell anyone about this”, prosecutor Amber Hobson said.

It was heard that though the boy agreed not to say anything, he told two of his friends about the incidents and sent them a picture of Drury.

Rumour began to spread around the boy’s school with staff contacting the police.

Officers looked at the boys phone with his permission and found a message from the teacher referring to a note she had left him alongside £20, the court was told.

The note read: “I enjoy every piece of you. I don’t know how to stop, or what this is. Here’s £20 just in case…Your Em xoxo.”

Drury shed a tear in court as a victim impact statement from the boy was read out.

In the statement, the victim said: “She was kind to me. She would say positive things to me, buy me clothes, she would talk to me and made me feel better about myself.

“I trusted her and confided in her about some very personal things.

“I felt judged. I felt that people blamed me. I felt unable to simply be a child.

“I worried that people would not take me seriously because I am a boy. I believed there was a stigma attached to being a male victim of sexual abuse, and that fear made it even harder to cope.”

Drury was taken into custody in June last year, admitting to the charges at a plea hearing last month.

Defence barrister Jeremy Janes said her conduct triggered the loss of what she hoped would be a “lifelong career.”

He also submitted references from Drury’s parents and her brother.

Passing sentence, Judge James House KC said Drury’s offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence was appropriate.

The judge told how the abuse would continue to be in the boy’s mind while he was approaching his GCSE exams.

Judge House continued: “She was in a position of trust. She was the adult, he was the child.

“This was not simply a single indiscretion – that would have been bad enough.”

Drury was supported in court by her husband and other relatives, she had no previous convictions.

She was sentenced to four years and six months in prison and must serve at least half of the sentence before being considered for release.

She was also given a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order to last five years,  and was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.
