Former Punjab Youth Congress chief Brinder Singh Dhillon took a swipe at the party’s Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda over his remarks describing ex-Congress MP Sajjan Kumar, who was convicted in the anti-Sikh riots case, as a great leader.Dhillon said calling a convicted person a great leader was not a tribute but an insult to the memory of thousands of victims and the decades-long struggle of their families for justice. “Death does not erase conviction. Sajjan Kumar died as a man serving life imprisonment for his role in the 1984 anti-Sikh violence,” Dhillon said on ‘X.’ History should not be whitewashed, he said.
