A day after gangster Goldy Brar allegedly claimed responsibility for the killing of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a fresh war of words erupted between Brar and Canada-based designated terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill, alias Arsh Dalla. In a series of leaked audio recordings over the past 24 hours, Brar first admitted to orchestrating Nijjar’s killing.Dalla retaliated with threats of revenge, prompting Brar to release another audio recording alleging that Dalla had narrowly escaped an attack in Hamilton, Canada. Brar claimed Dalla was rushed to hospital for treatment and is now under police surveillance, with a tracking device fitted to his foot. The Tribune does not endorse the veracity of these leaked audios.Brar further claimed that Dalla was booked by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in 2024 after 5 kg of opioids, allegedly meant to be smuggled to Canada and distributed among Punjabi youth on study visas, were recovered. In the first audio recording, Brar accused Nijjar of sheltering Dalla, providing him with weapons and financial support, and promoting drug abuse among youngsters. In response, Dalla released a 15-minute video on Punjabi social media platforms, denying Brar’s allegations. He claimed he had not met Nijjar for nearly a year before the killing and rejected suggestions that Nijjar had offered him money, shelter or arms. Both Dalla and Brar accused each other of working for intelligence agencies.Dalla also admitted his involvement in the November 2020 murder of Manohar Lal, a Dera Sacha Sauda follower in Bathinda, which his network claimed was carried out in “revenge” for sacrilege incidents. He insisted he was not a traitor to the community and maintained that his father had faced repeated interrogations but had never handed over the killers to the police.Nijjar, a wanted Khalistani terrorist, was gunned down outside a gurdwara in Surrey in 2023, sparking one of the worst diplomatic crises between India and Canada.Brar, who is already wanted in India and is on the US most-wanted list for multiple murders, including the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala, made his latest claims during a purported conversation with Khalistani terrorist Paramjit Singh Pamma.
