The Kent club’s outstanding tax debt resulted in the postponement of their first FOUR GAMES of the season.
The Fleet, who are currently suspended from playing, claim to have paid their arrears to HMRC earlier this week.

But a review from the National League’s compliance and licensing committee didn’t find any change in the club’s situation.
And they’ve now publicly warned Ebbsfleet that they could be expelled from the division.

A statement read: “The club has been given time and opportunity to demonstrate compliance with the league’s rules and regulations, but matters cannot continue as has been the case.
“The range of actions under rules and regulations include the potential for expulsion from the National League.”
Ebbsfleet, however, claimed to have informed the National League of the clearing of their debt,
A club statement read: “The club acknowledges the National League’s decision this afternoon to extend our suspension from the competition until a further review on Tuesday, 1st September, at 7pm.

“We can confirm that payment has now been made to HMRC for the full value required on the winding-up petition.
“Furthermore, the National League have now been sent proof of that transaction.
“The transfer of those funds, which was originally initiated on completion of the change of ownership, arrived at the club late this afternoon, regrettably after the required deadline of yesterday and the League committee meeting this morning at 10am.
“Prior to yesterday’s 5pm deadline, we also completed and submitted a reply to the League Committee’s remaining questions.
“Today, the League – in communicating their decision – have requested some additional detail which we will complete and provide prior to next Tuesday’s deadline.
“The past eight days have been particularly busy and complicated in expediting the transfer of ownership given the concurrent issues of the winding-up petition and the initial club suspension – and we continue to work with the League towards a satisfactory conclusion on all outstanding matters.
“We appreciate the concern of supporters and the effect that the recent uncertainty has had on you as well as all staff and players.
“We thank everyone for your support and understanding.
The extension of Ebbsfleet’s suspension means that their upcoming matches against Farnborough Town and Horsham have both been postponed.
