LOVE Is Blind UK’s fan favourites Taylor and Sophie were embroiled in a secret love triangle that was never aired.
A staggering 14 out of 15 couples got engaged in the pods – a global record for the Netflix franchise – but that meant eight couples’ journeys did not make it to screens.

Sammy ranked Jon as her top pick on day one – but at the same time formed a connection with Taylor.
Fans have watched Taylor’s perfect relationship with Sophie throughout and saw them say I do at their wedding this week.

Sammy said: “I put Jon as number one on date one, obviously. But, and then as the days went on, Taylor was like my top. Maybe until, I know, maybe like day four, but as Taylor was starting to come down, Jon was then like coming back up. Cause I think the first few dates is like, you just connect with these people.
“And I think me and Taylor had connected very instantly on the fact that we both lost a parent. And I think that initially connected us. And then as you date more and you start to realise, oh wait, maybe we’re not as compatible as initially we thought. And then the opposite kind of happened with Jon.
“We had an initial spark, but then as we started to chat more and more and the dates get longer, the connection just built and built. So I think around day four, Jon and I are kind of were like, no, you’re my top. And then he was like, yeah, you too.”
It means Sammy, Taylor and Sophie could’ve been this year’s love triangle storyline instead of Francesca, Joseph and Chevanique.
Sammy said: “I remember there was a bit of a moment between, I think, cause Taylor had said to me that I was his, we were at the top. And then I think he’d maybe said similar to Sophie around the same time.
“So there was a moment in the lounge where we’re both like, oh, I didn’t even know you were dating Taylor or like vice versa. So there was a bit of filming going on with that.
“But then I think the next day after that, like it just was clear that Taylor wasn’t my person. And I think they’re such a good match, aren’t they? Like they are such a solid match. And I remember, cause we had to do two dates in one day and it was that day on the second time I dated him, I was just like, no, it’s just, it’s not happening.”
Sammy and Jonathan are still together a year on from the experiment and are looking forward to their future together.
They even share a dog, Poderick – named after the experience.
Recalling their first date, Sammy said: “I just remember us bouncing energy, like straight from the get go. John made me do this like kiss, cheek, cheek thing. Is he French? No, he’s from Hertfordshire.
“But it was just energy, wasn’t it? We just bounced off each other straight away.”
Jon remembers: “Yeah, that was it. That was the first thing I remember. So the first dates, they’re so quick. You’re speaking to all of the girls, super quick turnover. It’s Eight minutes. So 15 dates, eight minutes long, all in one day.
“So for me, it was like, Who’s the funniest? Who am I having a laugh with? You’ve got eight minutes, let’s have a laugh. And that was why Sammy just like stood out straight away.
I come out of that eight minutes, like holding my belly. And I just knew straight away, I was like, yeah.”
Jon dated a couple of other girls, including Faye, Sophie and Ciara.
He said: “They were all lovely dates and it was great getting to know them, but there was nothing in terms of like actual connection. And yeah, from like the midway point, Sammy was my number one and it just sort of went like that.”
