THIS is the moment two “racing” drivers revved their engines at each other before one mowed down and killed a mum and her daughter, a court heard.

The driver, Hardeep Bachu, has pleaded guilty to causing their deaths by dangerous driving.
Jasskamal Riyat, 37, is currently on trial at Leeds Crown Court after denying the same offences.

Jurors heard he was allegedly racing Bachu in a BMW 1 series before the horror crash in June 2023.
Footage shows the Audi and BMW travelling alongside each other as loud engine noises can be heard.
Dashcam video from Bhachu’s Audi then captures the drivers speaking to each other through their windows – including a conversation about horsepower.
Another clip, filmed by Riyat on his mobile phone, shows the Audi ahead of him before accelerating away.
Riyat can be heard saying: “Watch this guy now”, before laughing.
The compilation also includes dashcam footage from Bhachu’s car in the final seconds before the collision, with the Audi appearing to be travelling at speed as its engine roars.

Prosecutor Carmel Pearson said the men, who were not known to each other, had been “egging each other on” during the morning rush hour.
Their driving was described as “competitive” and “aggressive” – with Riyat pulling up alongside Bachu at a set of traffic lights.
Witnesses reported seeing the pair weaving between other cars as the pair reached high speeds on the 40mph road.
Although Riyat’s speed was not recorded, jurors heard he was “right behind” Bachu when he was measured travelling at 89mph 60 metres away from the point of collision.
Justyna and Lena had been walking along Scott Hall Road at around 8.30am on their way to nursery.
The white Audi TT then hit a kerb and lost control – mounting the pavement and hitting the mum and daughter.
Riyat continued to film the crashed car as he passed by but left the scene and went to work, jurors were told.
Ms Pearson said: “Just because he [Riyat] did not crash, this does not mean he escapes responsibility for these deaths.
“He was also driving dangerously on that road. It’s the prosecution’s case that they both drove dangerously at speeds that outstripped other road users, weaving in and out of traffic close to each other and other cars.
“Neither driver showed regard to other road users and those more vulnerable – pedestrians.
“They were racing and competitive.”
She continued: “This was not just an unspeakable tragedy, but an entirely foreseeable event.”
