THE body of a woman has been found in a park near a Premier League stadium.
Police were scrambled to the scene in Stanley Park, Liverpool, just over a mile from Anfield, yesterday afternoon.
Merseyside cops say the woman’s death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A cordon remains in place following the discovery, with members of the public contacting police around 5.25pm on Friday.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the woman and inform the next of kin.
A Home Office postmortem will take place today, today to establish the cause of death.
